My Story

Dedication to human growth and understanding.

River Sprinkle is a dynamic, multifaceted musician whose career encompasses professional orchestral performance, dedicated community teaching, and entrepreneurship. An accomplished performer, River has held a position as a violinist with the South Arkansas Symphony , performed with the Rapides Symphony , and led the University of Akron Symphony Orchestra as its Concertmaster. River continues to be an active performer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, playing frequently at St. Jude Chapel.

This robust performance career is matched by a deep commitment to education and a uniquely well-rounded perspective. River holds a Master's degree in Strings Performance from the University of Akron and a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance. Proving a true passion for difficult tasks, Sprinkle not only chose to play the oboe but, after years of wrestling with its notoriously tricky reeds, decided to solve the problem for others by founding the successful company, Sprinkle Reeds.

River’s extensive teaching experience spans a vast range of environments, from serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Akron and a Community Resource Specialist in the Akron Public Schools to teaching in numerous DFW school districts including Arlington, Frisco, Mansfield, HEB, Richardson, and Dallas ISD. River’s own journey of personal growth informs a resilient and empathetic teaching style, providing neurodiversity-affirming violin, viola, and oboe lessons that champion each student's unique path. As an artist, educator, and entrepreneur, River brings a truly well-rounded, real-world perspective to every lesson.
